Ajahnis Charley

Ajahnis Charley (they/them/that bitch) is a Black, Non-Binary comedian who is one of Just For Laughs’ New Faces of Comedy and features in their New Wave of Standup series of specials. They are a cast member of the Second City Touring Company and star in the HBO miniseries Station Eleven and Bell Media sitcom Shelved. They’ve written punch-up for upcoming comedy series Bria Mack Gets A Life, comedy-doc Stay Tooned, and they write for Canadian news satire platforms The Beaverton and Because News. They directed the short film I AM GAY, produced by the National Film Board of Canada, which screened in the 2021 Inside Out Film Festival, and won the Inspire Award at the 2021 Caribbean Tales Film Festival. Their solo show THOTS & PRAYERS won awards at Toronto and Montreal Sketch Comedy Festivals. Ajahnis is a co-founder and co-producer of the Untitled Black Sketch Project, Canada's first all-Black sketch ensemble.
